Review of Berjaya Times Square Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Wondering where to stay if you visit Kuala Lumpur (KL)?  Even though I had been to Malaysia a few times this year, I didn’t stop at KL till I got a chance as one of the invited Travel Influencers over the weekend to check out Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.  Is this a good hotel to stay in?  What facilities does it have?  Should you consider this hotel when you visit KL?

To find out, continue reading my blog post to know. 😉

LOCATION

A prominent 5-star landmark strategically located in the heart of the city’s banking, commercial and vibrant shopping district, Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur is conveniently linked and is easily accessible by various modes of road transportation directly from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).  The address is 1 Jalan Imbi, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I love the fact that the hotel is connected to a big shopping mall, Berjaya Times Square, by just a glass door.  All I need is to tap my hotel room access key onto the door access control panel and I can go for my shopping therapy…yeah!

There is also a bus stop right infront of the hotel, below the monorail station where bus coaches stop to drop or pick up travelers.

Overall, the convenience of this hotel has already won my heart over!

CLUB LOUNGE AND CLUB PREMIER ROOM

As the room allocated to me was a Club Premier room, I could check in and out of the hotel at Level 14 Club Lounge.

I received a warm welcome at the Club Lounge by the service staff and all documentation was done swiftly so that I could go up to my room to fresh up.

Designed to charm even the most discerning of travelers, it is extremely difficult not to fall in love with the elegant simplicity of the spacious and exquisite Club Premier Rooms and Suites located on the 17th to the 20th floor.

The moment I opened the door to my room, I went ‘wow’.  My first thought was, “OMG… the room is so huge!”  Immediately, I texted the rest of the Singapore Influencers, Magdalene and Hannah, and both of them were also super impressed with the size of the room.  The room size starts from 51sq metres and offers a separate bath and shower.

Blonde timber furniture is used to complement the carefully chosen soothing colour scheme to blend in nicely, to provide an aesthetically pleasing and relaxing sight for the guests.

I can unwind by taking a seat on the plump cushioned seats placed near the window and check out the beautiful scenery before diving into the plush king size bed and top-quality bedding for a good rest.

Besides contemporary décor in soothing colour schemes for comfort and relaxation, a large workspace is also available, making it the perfect place for business or pleasure.

To add a wonderful touch, each room has a handy handphone preloaded with information on where to go.  You can also bring the handphone out when you explore the city so that you won’t get lost and know where to find the recommended places.  The best part is you make local and international call for FREE!  Yes, you didn’t see it wrongly… the calls are free so that you are constantly connected with family and friends whenever you are.

The bathroom and toilet were huge too.  You get to choose between using bathtub or standing shower head.  I silently chided myself for not bringing my bath bombs with me to use in the bathtub.

With all amenities included, you won’t need to worry if you didn’t bring them along.

At the same time, you can also get to enjoy tea or coffee in the comfort of the room too.

After I freshened up, I went back to the Club Lounge for the media activities specially organized by Corporate Marketing & Communications Department as well as enjoying the food, drinks, cocktails and wine.

The Club Lounge is beautifully renovated and decorative with art works and paintings.  The lounge has a contemporary look, resulting in a sophisticated, inviting and warm space for business travelers and families.  Guests staying in Club Premier rooms and Club Premier suites will be able to access the Club Lounge.

Just look at the food spread that I had…I was so well fed!  The food was just so amazing… from small bites to pasta to desserts.  I will let the food do the talking.

Chef Ian demonstrated how to cook three type of pasta.  It was amazing how he could easily whip up the three dishes so fast and yet they tasted so delicious!

I wished everyday could be like this!

Shyan and Sophia from Corporate Marketing & Communications Department had specially arranged for an artist to draw portraits for all of us.  It was such a wonderful gesture and surprise to receive my own portrait from them after I finished my meal.

To delight the guests, complimentary breakfast is served from 6.30am to 10.30am, while cocktails are served between 5.30pm to 8.00pm at the Club Lounge.  Complimentary use of the business and private meeting space are available for guests as well, while enjoying complimentary all day selection of non-alcoholic beverages in the Club Lounge.

After the filling meal, I went back to my hotel room to freshen up for dinner.

One of the privileges of staying in Club Premier Rooms is that I get to have my breakfast in the comfort of the Club Lounge.  Here were some of the food I had for breakfast.

Lunch at the Big Apple Restaurant

Lunch was yet another delight at The Big Apple Restaurant, a casual all-day dining outlet.  Located on the 14th floor, guest will be able to enjoy the vast Kuala Lumpur city’s skyline as they dine.

But before lunch, I got the opportunity to take photos with the pretty ladies from the Corporate Marketing & Communications Department.  They are such sweet people and made my stay so awesome!

This was one of my favorite dishes… Assam Laksa!  The Chef was kind enough to oblige me in taking his photo.
