Review of Regenera Activa by The Clifford Aesthetics
I decided to try Regenera Activa after seeing Dr Gerard Ee from The Clifford Aesthetics posted an IG story where he went through the procedure himself.
I am always on the lookout for procedures and treatments that help in the prevention of androgenetic alopecia or better known as hair loss and in hair growth too. So when I found out that The Clifford Aesthetics is offering Regenera Activa procedure, I quickly checked with Dr Ee how the procedure was like.
The Clifford Aesthetics is the very first clinic in Singapore that offers hair regeneration with the Regenera Activa procedure. For someone like me who is super scared of hair transplant, Regenera Activa is an option.
It is a therapy relying on own cells to regenerate new hair follicles for the scalp which will eventually lead to new hair growth. Regenera Activa helps to activate dormant cells under the scalp, and inactive hair follicles.
To be frank, I was very scared and nervous on the day of the Regenera Activa procedure. But luckily Dr Ee and his clinical assistant calmed me down by telling me it is actually a very simple procedure and there was nothing frightening about it.
Regenera Activa is a new approach that relies on capillary regeneration technique in combating hair loss.
How it works is using your own hair, that contains cells that are used in the regenerative process of renewing and growing new hair.
Dr Ee extracted hair cells from the back of my head, after shaving about a 20 cents coin size of hair away.
The hair cells were then mixed with a solution suspension and then injected into the scalp.
This procedure is to combat hair loss, delaying hair loss and preventing any loss volume.
Before I went through the procedure, I actually asked Dr Ee many questions as I was very concerned since I haven’t heard about this before.
Below are some questions which I asked Dr Ee, before I decided to go ahead with it:
Question: How long is the procedure?
Answer: It is about 30 to 45 minutes
“Will there be a lot of blood?”
Answer: There will be very minimal blood flow due to the harvesting of the hair grafts.
Question: “What is the downtime?”
Answer: There is no downtime and anyone can go back to work on the same day.
Question: “What is the pain level like?”
Answer: There is not much pain at all due to the anesthesia injection before harvesting the hair grafts.
Question: “How many sessions do I need to see some results?”
Answer: One session is good enough.
Question: “How long will it take to see some results?”
Answer: It will take about a month to see some results.
I am glad that i went through Regenera Activa procedure even though I am not exactly balding. Just that the amount of hair on my front portion of my scalp is thinner than the back hence, I believed that prevention is better than cure. This procedure is not very invasive and there is no downtime which means I can go about doing my work and attending events after doing it. I guess the only thing I couldn’t do right after Regenera Activa procedure was to swim.
I am looking forward to fuller and stronger head of hair in one month’s time!
